Top Tier can be booked as a 5-piece, 6-piece (with sax), or an 8-piece band (with complete horn section.) What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing is always all-inclusive including any travel costs for out of town events. There are no hidden fees!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I'm extremely detail-oriented and go to great lengths to make sure I have all the necessary information to make sure everything goes smoothly. That includes the entertainment, the timelines, and any emcee duties. Customer service is equally as important as the entertainment!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All of the musicians in the band have music degrees, and our DJ has a music and broadcasting degree!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I had the desire to start my own wedding/special events band back in my college days, but finally made it a reality 14 years ago when I launched Top Tier. Besides being a musician with a passion for providing great entertainment, I wanted to utilize my people and business skills, while always focusing on providing excellent customer service! I know that someone's wedding day is one of the most important days in their life. It's always a true honor to be a part of a wedding, and I never take that responsibility or any client for granted! I'm so grateful for what Top Tier has become!

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have done events for countless corporations and countless weddings! We have also headlined major outdoor festivals, and played at many casinos.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

All our events are special to us and we don't take any gigs or clients for granted. With that said, I do really enjoy getting to play events for our military or fundraisers for great causes.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Read reviews of the business! Anyone or any business can claim they’re great, but the proof is in the reviews of their previous clients. Top Tier has well over 300 wonderful reviews that have been posted on various websites.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The most important thing is read reviews that previous clients have left! Anyone can promise to do good work, but reviews can tell how if they truly do and if they do it consistently. Also, the dirty little secret is many bands use backing tracks, which means they're not singing or playing everything you're hearing live. We never use backing tracks and take pride in our great vocals and musicianship! Everything you hear from Top Tier band is live, the way it should be! Ask other bands if everything is played and sung live at their shows. Also, ask if they carry insurance. (We do have insurance.) Ask if you can customize the list of songs to be played (if that's important to you.) Also, make sure there are no hidden fees.
